Naviv arrived onto the New York City club scene at the end of the alternative 90’s. Head of the Black Rock Coalition, Kregg Ajamu was sponsoring a rock and funk concert at the infamous TRAMPS theatre, in New York. He put her on as the opening act of a night of rock and funk after hearing a three song demo, with one condition, that she fill all of the seats at an early 7:30pm spot. To everyone’s amazement, she did just that, and instantly became the talk of the live music scene, garnishing shows at the top New York venues, such as Wetlands,The BottomLine, ASCAP Music Showcase, The Cooler, S.O.B’s, P.J.’s and CBGB’s Gallery.
Naviv’s single, Love Tattoo, has been number one on the popular Soundclick.com for 4 weeks straight. She has been a featured artist at Ladyfest, interviewed on WCLK, a featured artist at the prestigious “Sounds from Venus, North” monthly women in music
showcase and a featured artist on MP3.com. Naviv will continue to be a featured artist on “The Sound Lounge@Apache Cafe”, a newly developed showcase of music in Atlanta, Georgia sponsored by Eclecticmusic.
